About the school
Collège du Léman International School is a component of the Meritas chain which includes prestigious boarding schools in North America and Europe. The school is situated 9 km away from Geneva, in Versoix town and occupies an area of 8 ha. The College is international, both in terms of students and staff. In the school, there are 118 teachers from 25 nationalities of which 90 are available to students all day. Additionally, 12 teachers deal with students in hostels. The school was founded in 1960 to meet the growing demand of quality education for the children of diplomatic missions and representatives of the business communities in Geneva.
During its more than 50 years of activity, 25 000 students worldwide graduated from the school. The school has six buildings with 52 classrooms, laboratories, workshops, fine arts studios, foreign languages cabinets, computer rooms, a conference room and two libraries with approximately 19 000 books. The students study in small classes, which allows each of them receive individual attention. The Curriculum is balanced and intensive. In their free time, students have the opportunity to be involved in various extracurricular activities, more sports clubs and activities of interest.
Accommodation
There are 250 students who live in the school's dorms. The students are accomodated in different buildings according to their age and gender. Each building has a shared livingroom with TV, a studyy room, kitchen internet connection, phone and a laundry room. A team of qualified and experienced tutors assure the student's safety, peace and education. The rooms are double or triple.

Collège du Léman promotes a healthy lifestyle, so the students are encouraged to practice sport and take part in clubs. The most popular sports amongst students are: football, basketball, voleyball, tennis, athletism, rugby, skying, bowling, swimming, gymnastics, judo, softball, yoga. Every year, the school takes part in Model United Nations in Haga, in the "United Nations of Students" in Geneva and in the international Math and sports competitions. During the school year the school organizes trips in Switzerland and abroad and during winter the students spend a week skying and snowboarding in the Swiss Alps. The students release the school's magazine and can take part in clubs according to their interest: thater, debates, Math club, choir, music classes (following the Julliard School model).
Summer language classes
During summer the school organizes English and French courses, the students having the opportunity of choosing to study subjects like political science, robotics, theater, dance, Picasso, CSI Laboratory, Champions League, programming, technologies, rock band, NBAction. During the free time the school organizes sport activities and trips.
