Short history and description
Cardiff Sixth Form College (CSFC) is located in the capital of Wales, Cardiff. The College has an excellent academic reputation and ranks first in the UK charts at A-levels exams. For many consecutive years, the college has been ranked first in the UK boarding school. The main objective is to provide a supportive environment in which each student develops their potential and achieves maximum results. The College prides itself on the professional evolution of its students, who are traditionally admitted to the most desirable specializations from the most prestigious universities, including Oxbridge.
Additional programs and professional experience gained through practical internships are a premise for an informed profession choice and a successful career. Teaching in small classes, individual approach and numerous extracurricular activities are a guarantee for parents in terms of their investment. In the learning process, students are advised on how to use the training time effectively. They acquire learning, negotiation, critical thinking skills, prepare for exams, learn to take notes, write abstracts, read and memorize methods. At the end of each course, preliminary examinations are held, and regular themes and active participation in the learning process contribute to the final. The college has modern dormitories for students located a few steps from the school. It offers accommodation in individual rooms, double rooms and studios. All rooms have their own bathroom. Allocation of chambers is based on the first-come, first-served principle.
Activities are designed and organized to complement the training of students and increase the chances of admission to the most competitive university programs. The College offers a wide variety of clubs and societies, including: Club of Economics Club Debate, first aid lessons, NASA Club, Duke of Edinburgh Award, The Good Will Ambassador Program, career clubs, culture, philosophy, science, training courses at local and foreign universities, summer schools that include work in a research project with doctors or researchers, autopsy demonstrations, expeditions for scientific purposes, visits to educational fairs. Sports facilities include 5 tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball and football, 2 modern dance and ballet halls, 3 swimming pools, a fitness room and a gym.
