Short history and description
Since its founding in 1891, Ashbury College has been encouraging the development of academic, artistic, sports and spiritual students. Located on an area of 12 acres, Ashbury College in Rockcliffe Park is a residential area located a few minutes from downtown. The school`s core values are academic excellence, community spirit, ethical and spiritual development, personal development and international cooperation. Offering a challenging academic program with a broad academic background, which promotes critical thinking and creativity, Ashbury College prepares students for both the university and life.

Having a co-educational safe environment, students and school personnel are encouraged to value their potential. The Ashbury spirit, characterized by enthusiasm and cooperation is reflected in the strong and productive relationships that develop between students, people from boarding, school staff, alumni and parents.

Ethical and spiritual development is stimulated in a community based on integrity, mutual respect, Christian environment and community work. Students are encouraged to participate in more activities, strive towards excellence and to develop strong leadership skills. Ashbury College helps each student reach their full potential in an environment conducive to learning and sports activities. Accommodation
More than 100 people live in the campus, includeing the school principal, the teachers and their families, the nurse and other staff. Grils from grades 9-12 are accommodated in Heather Gillin Residence. It has 19 single rooms and 16 double rooms, each having personal bathrooms, a fully equpped kitchen, leisure rooms, study room and a storage area. The dorm provides a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The boys are accommodated in Matthews House, lcated in the south-western area of the campus. The dorm has single and double rooms, with a total capacity of 51 students. Besides a fully equipped kitchen, the boys can also have access to a common area that they share with the girls.

Sports and extracurricular activities
Ashbury has a remarcable sports program, being recognized on a local, national and international level. All students have the chance to practice different sportive activities (soccer, basketball, voleyball,badminton, rugby etc) and those who achieve high performances can take part in competitions between schools. Students in grades 9 and 10 have to participate in co-curricular activities in all three quarters, 11th grade pupils have to take part in co-curricular activities in 2 quarters, and 12th grade pupils to participate in co-curricular activities in a quarter. Additional to participating to these activities all students must have a minimum of 60 hours of community work
